A person expert in my field that I admire
Hi, everybody. In this ocassion I will talk about a oerson expert in my field that I admire. The only person that I can think in this moment is Jacqueline du Pré. She was a genius and famous Brithish cellist in the XX century.
Her entire name is Jacqueline Mary du Pré. She was born on 26 of January, 1945 in Oxford, England. She was the second child od Iris Greep and Derek du Pré. His father worked as a counted at Lloyds Bank in St Helier London , but some time later he becomes an assitant editor and later an editor of The Accountant. her mother was a famous concert pianist, who studied on Royal Academy of Music.
When she was four years old, after listened in the radio the sound of the cello, she asked her mother for one of those. She started lessons with from her mother, who componed little pieces for her, before enrolling at the London Violoncello School at the age of five. After some years, from been in differents schools, in 1961 she began to studied in Guildhall School of Music in London, with the famous cellist William Pleeth. From early age, Jacqueline du Pré was entering and winning local music competitions along her sister, Hilary. Also, she made some appearence on BBC Television playing differents concertos, like Lalo concert and the first Haydn concerto. In 1961, at the age of sixteen, she made her formal début, at Wigmore Hall, London. She played sonatas of Bramhs, Handel, Fallas, Debussy etc. She made famous playing the Elgar Concerto. In fact she brought it at the light, and she made it famous again. After this, evething it comes like it should be. She played with many orquest, and she met loys famous interpreters, Like Pablo Cassals, Paul Tortelliar, and many others. But the more important of all this, would be Daniel Barenboim, who would be her husband. With him, she made a lot tours around Europe. But, in 1971 seh was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. She retires from her carrer and made classes the rest of her years, while her condition was getting worse. She died at the age of 42, on Octuber of 1987.
A like because seh is my idol. I love all of she, her way of play the cello and all strong emotions that she shows throught her smile and her unique sound. I admired so much, because she always showed her joy and happiness playing the violoncello.
She record many CD, that are a great apport to the young generation, lime me, throught this CD. I always love and admires her.
